Eat LOCAL- With the summer months in full swing their are many farmers markets around CT with fresh produce and other great finds from food to beauty products all fair-trade, organic and eco-friendly.

PLANT a garden- Now is the perfect time to plant veggies and such. It is also an ideal time to plant pumpkins which will arrive just in time for the fall! Why spend money on picking them when you can share in the excitement of growing your own in your own backyard! Try planting tomatoe trees, carrots, squash and other veggies and watch them grow and be the freshest you have ever tasted!
Turn off the computer and tv and go outside and enjoy the wonders of nature,. Bird watch, take a swim at the local beach or even go for a hike and get some excersise. The summer months are much shorter than the drab of winter, so take advantage now of all the local goodness you have around you-- Beaches, farms, icecream etc!
